TOMATOES :: 2018 STATS

Tomatoes.jpg

This one, y’all? Blew. Us. Away. 77 chef tomatoes (those big guys) and 2,202 cherry tomatoes (OVER TWO THOUSAND!!!) left our hands and went to food pantries to distribute to the vulnerable and in need.

That was about 115 pounds worth of tomato! 🙌🏻

And you know how many cherry tomato plants we planted? One. ONE! All the praise hands up! 🙌🏻

Why do we grow tomatoes?
Tomatoes are the major dietary source of the antioxidant lycopene, which has been linked to many health benefits, including reduced risk of heart disease and cancer. They are also a great source of vitamin C, potassium, folate and vitamin K.

Ya. We are still blown away. Because we know this isn’t within our own strength. 2,202 cherry tomatoes from ONE plant? That’s a certain kind of wonderfulness we cannot achieve on our own. 🍅
